Contacting the Box Office

We now have two convenient ways you can contact the box office. Please use one or the other and not both. Since we're a community theatrer, our box office is not staffed except for one hour prior to performances. For all non-reservation/exchange matters, kindly leave a message on our machine and we will make every effort to make sure your message gets to the right person.

Box Office Phone

You can contact our box office personal via voice mail at 973.632.2523. Due to our volunteer nature, phone reservations can only be accepted up to 24 hours before show-time. We can't guarantee that reservations made after that point will be processed. We cannot guarantee a return phone call confirming a ticket reservation, we can only guarantee that if there is a problem will we get back to you.

Box Office E-Mail

We're happy to announce you can now make reservations and ticket exchanges via e-mail. Send an e-mail to glplayers@comcast.net. Curtain Times

Doors to the theater auditorium will open and seating will begin approximately 25 minutes prior to curtain.

Special Notes

Please leave time for on-street parking. For pre or post show dining, Fitzgerald's 1928 is located conveniently around the corner from the theater at 17 Herman Street. For information, click here.

Gas Lamp Inc. is a U.S. 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, independent arts organization. We are funded by revenues generated through participation fees, ticket sales & program ads, and are run by a dedicated community of volunteers. We welcome anyone with an interest in the performing arts to become involved with our programs. The Glen Ridge Board of Education provides valuable space for practice and performances in the Ridgewood Avenue Auditorium. The Gas Lamp Players donates revenue from each performance back to the school to help maintain and upgrade the production facilities. We are proud to have played a substantial role in the recent renovation of the Ridgewood Avenue Auditorium, and are extremely grateful for the continued support of the Glen Ridge school district.

Community Service

2009 Sponsorships and Donations:

Using the generous donations from the 2009 Glen Ridge Gala, Gas Lamp has purchased a professional sound system for the Ridgewood Avenue School auditorium. Installation is expected in July 2009.

2008 Sponsorships and Donations:

a spot in the February Workshop for a raffle at the Forest Ave. Winter Carnival;

use of a Cat in the Hat Costume for "Jump into Reading" day at the Forest Avenue School;

sponsoring a "Fortune Telling Room" at the Global Expo;

use of 15 costumes to Linden Avenue School for the Spring Fling (coming on May 17) and donating a spot in Seussical for the raffle;

use of props and scenery to the GRHS production of "Pippin;"

use of costumes and helping with entertainment for the upcoming Eco Fair and Arts Festival (May 10);

collaborating with the New Jersey Arts Collective and Fitzgerald's 1928 to bring an exciting evening of music and theater to Glen Ridge;

providing a safe, supportive environment for students interested in fashion and theater to come after school on Tuesdays & Thursdays, or during the day on Saturdays, where they can learn about fashion and costumes, do minor repairs, and do community service.
