Gas Lamp Junior Camp, 2020


Job Description:
• Paid counselor positions available for Gas Lamp Players summer camp.

• We are a non-profit community theatre with a strong theatre arts education program. Our three week summer camp offers rising 1st-8th graders classes in acting, singing and dancing, in addition to rehearsing for our production of Frozen, Jr. The camp culminates in two performances of the musical at the Ridgewood Avenue School Auditorium.

• We are seeking motivated, caring, responsible, and hard-working young adults who are interested in sharing their valuable experience in both theatre arts and education. Priority will be given to college-age and experienced applicants however, anyone 16 and up may apply.


Important Dates:
• Applications Due: Friday, March 6th

• Interviews: We will contact you via email to let you know if you have been selected to interview for an internship.

• Training Session: Time and Date TBA

• Cast Meet and Greet / Frozen, Jr. & Auditions: Dates TBA
Our counselors are invaluable during these sessions, as they will meet and bond with our young campers and help with the audition process.

• Camp Dates: Monday, June 29 to Saturday, July 18th.

• Camp Hours: Our staff arrives at 9am, Monday through Friday and leaves at 3pm. You are required to attend both performances of Frozen, Jr. which will be held on Friday evening, July 17th and Saturday afternoon, July 18th. You must attend and help with strike after the final performance on July 18th.

NOTE THAT PERFORMERS REGISTERED FOR THE GAS LAMP TEEN CAMP, WILL NOT ABLE TO APPLY DUE TO THE OVERLAP OF CAMPS DURING THE WEEK OF JULY 13TH.
